I am a writer, researcher, and teacher in English and Communication Studies. Currently I'm working as an adjunct English instructor for Greenville Technical College in Greenville, South Carolina. I also run a branch of the Writing Center at Greenville Tech.

I teach several courses, including Composition, Introduction to Literature, Technical Writing, and Developmental English. I have the pleasure of working with many talented students at the college, as well as the support network of a brilliant faculty and staff.

I have been fortunate to combine my passion for teaching with my research interests by developing teaching methods for students with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). My dissertation, Communication Crossroads: Assertiveness Pedagogy for College Writers with ADHD, follows a qualitative study I conducted at Clemson University on the communication practices of students with ADHD.

My research areas include group communication pedagogies across the curriculum, composition design and production, and communication practices of writers with ADHD. I would like to take my research further by studying the relationship between professional communication, disability studies, and the writing center.
